I would like to free myself from the bonds of the of a handfull of tribes that I have been affilliated with in the past.
*I assumed that unsubscribing from the group would remove my info : such as the mention that I started a thread*
Okay, now that that the mission is known; let me mention what I don't want.
I don't want my new profile user name being associated with posts that I have made previously. I also don't want to lose the information that I have currently; such as my blog.
info? idea? solutions?
thanks

Re: change/cancelling profile while keeping blog
Wed, February 7, 2007 - 11:27 AMI'm not 100% sure what you mean, so let me try to clarify with what I think you want to know:
If you leave a Tribe, your posts, and their link to your profile will remain, so you can leave a Tribe without the fear that your contributions will be removed.
However, if you cancel your Tribe.net account, your blog will be removed, and there is no way to attribute your blog to another user.
I think you should just leave the Tribes that you are no longer interested in being affiliated with, and continue using the user you have now.
